Item Description
A nice display pair of flintlock box-lock pistols by Jackson of London mounted with 3.25 inch turn-off smooth 54 bore barrels and flat sided walnut butts. The barrels are stamped underneath with London Gun Company proof and view marks. The cocking actions are crisp and each pistol is mounted with a sliding trigger guard safety feature effective in the full cock position.
The engraved lock plates are centred with “JACKSON” on one side and “LONDON” on the other. The frizzens, tangs and cocks are border engraved and the trigger guard centred with a rosette. The barrels are engraved with bordered bands of circles around the rims.
The pistols are in good original condition as can be seen in the photos with minor dings, dents and scratches to both butts.
